STATEHOUSE (Sept. 28, 2016) – State Rep. Doug Miller (R-Elkhart) and fellow Republican members of the Indiana House of Representatives are seeking interns for the upcoming 2017 legislative session, which runs from January through April.

“These internships can open doors to full-time employment, either within the House of Representatives or other agencies,” Miller said. “Each day, interns work hand-in-hand with state lawmakers and staff, applying the knowledge they acquired in college and building on those skills.”

College sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, law students and recent graduates are eligible to apply. Benefits include a bi-weekly compensation of $700 and opportunities to earn academic credits and a scholarship.

Miller said these are full-time positions, Monday through Friday, with a typical work day starting at 8:30 a.m.

Internships are available in various departments, including legislative, communications, technology, fiscal policy and policy.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 31. For more information and to submit applications, visit www.indianahouserepublicans.com/internship.
