“Committee meetings are a vital part of the legislative process because they require input from members of our communities and industry experts,” McNamara said. “Each member of the General Assembly brings a different viewpoint on the policies brought forth, and I look forward to working with fellow lawmakers to as we examine proposals moving Indiana forward.”

Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 4, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2017 legislative session.
