STATEHOUSE (July 27, 2017) – “I am encouraged to see Gov. Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation voice their support  of the planned investment of Midwest Fertilizer in Posey County. Working to establish a manufacturing plant here has been in the works for the past few years, and I am excited to see the hard work has finally paid off. Midwest Fertilizer Company plans to bring 185 new, high-wage jobs to our community over the next few years. I look forward to seeing local Hoosiers benefiting from one of the largest fertilizer manufacturing investments in the U.S. in the past 20 years. Not only will there be permanent positions with the company, but over the next three years, Midwest Fertilizer will support more than 2,500 construction jobs. This development will keep not only our community’s economy thriving, but Indiana’s as well.”
