Note to the press: Please include the following statement from State Rep. Peggy Mayfield (R-Martinsville) in your coverage of today’s announcement concerning the partnership between The Indiana Commission to Combat Drug Abuse and Youth First in order to implement drug abuse prevention efforts in Daviess, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Posey and Warrick counties:

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 29, 2018) — “Drug addiction and mental health continue to be serious issues impacting our state. With this new partnership along with the Lilly Endowment Counseling Initiative Grant awarded to Martinsville schools, those living in Monroe and Morgan counties can receive much-needed resources to help students struggling with the effects of addiction and mental health issues. I have witnessed the success that Youth First has had in other parts of our state and I am glad to support bringing this program to our community. By implementing these proven programs, young Hoosiers and their families will have greater access to prevention programs and behavioral health services so they may lead healthy lives.”
