STATEHOUSE (June 27, 2019) State Rep. Chris May (R-Bedford) was recently selected to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Courts and the Judiciary.

Summer study committees examine the state’s top issues and recommend potential legislation.

“The committee will be busy over the next few months reviewing requests for additional magistrates and judges in various counties,” May said. “Laws and policies concerning the adjudication and rehabilitation of juvenile offenders will also be up for discussion.”

May said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
