May Column: Stay updated during the 2025 legislative session

The 2025 legislative session is underway at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis. For the next three months, lawmakers from across the state will work to pass a balanced two-year state budget, protect Hoosier taxpayers, streamline government and empower Hoosiers.

During this legislative session, I will continue to serve as chair of the House Local Government Committee. I will also serve as a member of the House Financial Institutions and House Roads and Transportation committees. House committees are responsible for vetting bills, including hearing public testimony and considering amendments.

Constituents can follow legislation I am authoring, co-authoring or sponsoring at in.gov/h65 by clicking the "My Legislation" button. You can also visit the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov for information on bills, meeting times and livestreams of committee hearings and session. These resources are a great way to stay up to date on what's happening at the Statehouse.

During session, I also hope residents will stay in touch with my office and share any feedback you have on legislative proposals. To receive regular updates from me, constituents can sign up for my e-mail newsletters by visiting in.gov/h65 and providing an email address in the box labeled "Subscribe to eNews."

I am excited to be back at the Statehouse and look forward to delivering real results for Hoosiers. I hope to hear from those throughout House District 65 so that I can best serve our communities. To contact my office, visit in.gov/h65 or call 317-232-9764.
