STATEHOUSE (Feb. 14, 2018) — State Rep. Hal Slager (R-Schererville) and State Sen. Rick Niemeyer (R-Lowell) will host a town hall meeting on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the St. John Township Community Center.
Slager said this legislative session, House lawmakers are focused on addressing K-12 funding, strengthening Indiana’s workforce, attacking the opioid epidemic and increasing government efficiency.
“I always like to hear input and ideas on issues that affect our area from community members,” Slager said. “Town halls are a great opportunity for us as legislators to update Hoosiers on what is moving forward at the Statehouse.”
The meeting will be from 1-2:30 p.m. CST on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the St. John Township Community Center, 1515 W. U.S. Highway 30.
