Local grad gains valuable experience with Rep. Pressel at the Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 21, 2017) – A South Central High School graduate is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) and his fellow members of the House of Representatives during the 2017 legislative session.

Tori Klimczak, a resident of Hanna, is the daughter of Adam and Gretchen Klimczak. She is an Franklin College graduate who earned a bachelor’s degree and majored in public relations.

As an intern in the House Majority Communications Office, Klimczak helps write press releases, create legislative handouts and set up press conferences.

The House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.

“This being my first legislative session, I quickly realized how busy things can get,” Pressel said. “But with the hardworking people on my team, we are sure to get the tasks done. My interns started in late December and will continue to work hard until early May.”
