STATEHOUSE (Dec. 30, 2020) – State Rep. Matt Lehman (R-Berne) was recently re-elected House Majority Floor Leader and selected to serve on three key House standing committees.

Lehman will serve on the House Committee on Public Policy, the House Committee on Public Health, and the House Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee.

As majority floor leader, Lehman will assist and help guide his fellow 70 Republican members of the Indiana House of Representatives. He said he will also draw on his experience as an entrepreneur and owner of a local insurance agency as he serves on three standing committees.

"This legislative session will be unique, and I remain committed to serving on these committees and fully vetting proposals for new laws," Lehman said. "From vaping and gaming issues to removing burdensome regulations on financial institutions, these committees will be looking at a number of important issues, and I am ready to get to work."

According to Lehman, the 2021 legislative session is scheduled to kick off Jan. 4. As House standing committees meet to consider legislation impacting Hoosiers, the hearings, calendars and agendas will be posted online at iga.in.gov.
