STATEHOUSE (Nov. 19, 2020) – Cindy Ledbetter of Newburgh took the oath of office Tuesday to serve as state representative for House District 75.
Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath to all House lawmakers during a swearing-in ceremony in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during Organization Day, the formal start to the 2021 legislative session.
"I am ready and excited to serve my fellow Hoosiers in House District 75," Ledbetter said. "My experience in business and health care will guide me as I begin working on legislation to help improve our local communities and state."
With 30 years of medical, business and administration experience, Ledbetter is a nurse practitioner, specializing in mental health. She has also managed for- and non-profit organizations and is an active community member, serving on a number of local boards.
In 1999, Ledbetter graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with an associate degree in nursing. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Southern Indiana in 2011. She became a nurse practitioner in 2013 and is currently pursuing her doctorate in nursing.
Ledbetter resides in Newburgh with her husband, Mike, and has a blended family of four adult children.
