STATEHOUSE (May 28, 2025) – State Rep. Ethan Lawson (R-Greenfield) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session.

The page program offers a unique hands-on opportunity for Hoosier students to gain a better understanding of the ins and outs of the legislative process while interacting with state leaders.

"I cannot emphasize enough how rewarding the page program is," Lawson said. "Local students get an up-close look at a legislative session, network with lawmakers and learn more about our state's history."

These area students served as pages during the 2025 legislative session:

  • Andrew Carver, from Greenfield, who is a home-schooled student
  • Chase Scott, from Greenfield, who attends Greenfield Central High School
  • Harper Watkins, from New Palestine, who attends New Palestine Junior High
  • Juliana Jackson, from New Palestine, who attends New Palestine Junior High
  • Ryah Laird, from New Palestine, who attends New Palestine Junior High
  • Samuel Carver, from Greenfield, who is a home-schooled student
  • Sophia Jackson, from New Palestine, who attends New Palestine Junior High
  • Tenley Yoder, from New Palestine, who attends New Palestine Junior High

During their day as pages, they interacted with and assisted lawmakers and staff, toured the Statehouse and joined Lawson on the House floor to watch the legislative process in action.

Students ages 13 to 18 should consider serving as pages during the 2026 legislative session. Contact Lawson's Statehouse office at in.gov/53 or 317-232-9747 for more information.
