STATEHOUSE (May 11, 2023) – State Rep. Joanna King (R-Middlebury) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.
As pages, the students assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined King on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.
"I always enjoy seeing students from my district at the Statehouse," King said. "Visiting with young Hoosiers is one of my favorite things about being a legislator and showing them how we go about our daily duties is rewarding for both of us."
Home-schooled students Carson and Keira Schrock of Middlebury, and Ian and Lucas Miller of Goshen served as pages during the 2023 legislative session.
King said students ages 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2024 legislative session.
