STATEHOUSE (March 22, 2018) – State Rep. Mike Karickhoff (R-Kokomo) today at the Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities 2018 Annual Conference in Indianapolis presented a Sagamore of the Wabash award to Jill Dunn for her leadership and service as president and CEO of Bona Vista Programs Inc.
Dunn has been with the non-profit organization for 42 years, serving as its president since 1987. She plans to retire later this year. Dunn also served as INARF president and was involved in developing legislation to benefit the lives of disabled children and adults.
“Jill has been deeply invested in helping those in need for decades, and her dedication extends beyond Bona Vista’s mission,” Karickhoff said. “I wish her all the best in retirement and know she’ll continue to be a devoted member of our community.”
Bona Vista provides referral and rehabilitation services to children and adults over 50 years old, helping them realize their full potential. Based in Kokomo, Bona Vista serves over 2,000 people daily in North Central Indiana.
Dating back to the mid-1940s, the Sagamore award is one of the highest honors the governor can bestow on a citizen and is presented to Hoosiers who have rendered distinguished service to the state, contributing greatly to Indiana’s rich history.
