STATEHOUSE (Sept. 28, 2016) — State Rep. Christopher Judy (R-Fort Wayne) and fellow Republican members of the Indiana House of Representatives are seeking interns for the upcoming 2017 legislative session, which runs from January through April.
“Interns with the House of Representatives get to work closely with full-time staff and state lawmakers to gain valuable experience to add to their resume,” Judy said. “Employers look for a stand-out candidate when filling positions, and adding an internship to a resume can really set job seekers apart from their competitors.”
College sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, law students and recent graduates are eligible to apply. Benefits include a bi-weekly compensation of $700 and opportunities to earn academic credits and a scholarship.
Judy said these are full-time positions, Monday through Friday, with a typical work day starting at 8:30 a.m.
Internships are available in various departments, including legislative, communications, technology, fiscal policy and policy.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 31. For more information and to submit applications, visit www.indianahouserepublicans.com/internship.
