STATEHOUSE (Nov. 18, 2020) – John Jacob of Indianapolis took the oath of office Tuesday to serve as state representative of House District 93.
Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath to all House lawmakers during a swearing-in ceremony in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during Organization Day, the formal start to the 2021 legislative session.
"I'm ready to get to work for our community," Jacob said. "My focus at the Statehouse will be on family, freedom and fiscal responsibility, so your government works for you.
Jacob and his wife, Angie, are lifelong Southsiders with six adult children and four grandchildren. He and his wife attend LifePoint Church, and over the years they have been active in many ministries, including marriage mentoring and counseling, leading small groups, street evangelism, housing and ministering to international students, and short-term mission trips. Previously, Jacob worked for the Indiana State Board of Accounts, and now owns a small business with his wife.
