STATEHOUSE (June 20, 2018) — State Rep. Todd Huston (R-Fishers) was recently selected to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy and the Interim Study Committee on Public Policy, which examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.
“Over the next several months, I will be looking at a variety of issues impacting our state,” Huston said. “Our state’s workforce continues to be a top priority. Lawmakers will build off work started in the previous session to streamline and connect state efforts with job creators, and ensure Hoosiers are developing skills needed to be successful in their careers.”
Huston was also assigned to the Indiana Career Council and named co-chair of the NCSL 2020 Legislative Summit Host Committee to plan for the National Conference of State Legislators coming to Indianapolis in 2020.
Huston said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
