Note to the press: Please include the following statement from co-chair of the House Ways and Means Committee State Rep. Todd Huston (R-Fishers) in your coverage of the Indiana House of Representative’s passage of the state’s biennial budget proposal. House Bill 1001 can now be considered by the Senate.

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 25, 2019) — “The House budget proposal funds Indiana’s vital services and addresses top priorities while remaining fiscally responsible and maintaining healthy reserves. We kept our commitment to educators and Hoosier children by increasing funding for education, school safety and the Department of Child Services. This is a strong start, and I look forward to working on this budget with our Senate colleagues.”
