STATEHOUSE – Indiana House Republicans today elected State Rep. Matt Lehman (R-Berne) to the leadership role of House majority floor leader.

“Representative Lehman has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those he represents,” House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) said. “Leading by example, he has deservedly earned the respect of his colleagues, and I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our leadership team.”

Lehman was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 2008. He has served as Chairman of the Insurance Committee and deputy speaker pro tempore.

In his new role as floor leader, Lehman will assist leadership in carrying out decisions and steering floor action to accomplish the caucus’ legislative priorities throughout session.
