Heine sworn in as state representative for House District 85

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 22, 2016) – Surrounded by family and fellow legislators in the Indiana House Chamber, member-elect Dave Heine (R-New Haven) took the oath of office today, officially becoming the state representative of House District 85.

Heine was sworn in by Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush.

“From helping small businesses grow to the education of our children to supporting family farms, the people of House District 85 will be my top priority,” Heine said. “I am committed to bringing the values of our district to the Statehouse and supporting policies that continue to move Indiana forward.” 

Heine graduated from New Haven High School in 1975 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in accounting. He and his wife, Tammy, have three children and two grandchildren. They have been members of Emanuel Lutheran Church for over 35 years.
