STATEHOUSE (Dec. 23, 2024) – With the next legislative session quickly approaching, local lawmakers encourage Hoosiers to take their online surveys and offer feedback on important issues.
To start, Hoosiers should visit their state representative's webpage and click on the "Take My Survey" button.
Hancock County representatives' webpages include:
"The next legislative session will reflect the current needs and priorities of Hoosiers," Criswell said. "I want to make sure that I’m focusing on issues that directly impact your lives. Your feedback through this survey will play a critical role in shaping our work during the upcoming session."
To complete online surveys, Hoosiers must be a resident of the district and submit it by the Dec. 31 deadline. Constituents can check which House district they reside in by visiting the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov, clicking on "Find Your Legislator" on the homepage and entering a home address. Constituents can also expect to receive or may have already received a copy of their state representative's survey mailer in their mailbox.
"Learning what's on the minds of Hoosiers in our community is important when considering proposed legislation," Jeter said. "As we get closer to the start of session, I encourage constituents to set aside a few minutes to complete this survey."
The 2025 legislative session begins Jan. 8 and must conclude by April 29. Hoosiers can follow session proceedings at iga.in.gov, where they can find information on proposed legislation and watch livestreams of committee hearings and session.
"As a newly elected state representative, I look forward to hearing directly from my community about important topics," Lawson said. "Your feedback will prepare me to represent you effectively and ensure our community's needs are addressed in the upcoming session."
Hoosiers also can stay updated during the legislative session by signing up for their legislator's email newsletter at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com and entering their email address under "Subscribe to eNews," or by calling 317-232-9600.
