STATEHOUSE (Oct. 5, 2016) – Wayne County recently received more than $1.2 million in federal funding for a bridge replacement project, according to State Rep. Dick Hamm (R-Richmond).

“Our roads and bridges not only support the economy, but provide convenient and safe travel for Hoosiers,” Hamm said. “This upcoming session, I look forward to working on legislation that provides long-term funding for road and bridge improvements.”

INDOT distributed nearly $80 million in federal transportation funding to 64 rural cities, towns and counties to invest in local road and bridge improvements and sidewalk and trail projects. Combined with local funds, close to $135 million is being invested in infrastructure in communities across Indiana.
