STATEHOUSE (May 4, 2023) – State Reps. Dave Hall (R-Norman) and Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.
As pages, the students assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined Hall and Heaton on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.
"It's a pleasure to visit with local students and teach them about the lawmaking process," Hall said. "I appreciate young Hoosiers from our community taking an interest in state government."
These area students served as pages during the 2023 legislative session:
"Visiting the Statehouse and participating in the page program is a great way for local students to get involved," Heaton said. "It's important for them to have an understanding of how our government works so they can grow up to be engaged citizens."
Heaton said students ages 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2024 legislative session.
