STATEHOUSE (Sept. 9, 2025) – State Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves (R-Marion) recently recognized Vicki Gray of Marion with the Heart of 31 Award, which celebrates outstanding individuals in House District 31 who go above and beyond to serve others.

Gray, a 1970 Marion High School graduate and lifelong supporter of the Marion Giants, is described as a cheerful, selfless, and compassionate friend to everyone she meets. She volunteers regularly at the Senior Center serving meals, participates in numerous church activities, and is an active member of the Psi Iota Xi sorority, which supports speech, learning, literature, and art programs. Through the organization, Gray helps provide summer clinics for children aged 4 to 18.

In addition to her community and church service, Gray has volunteered for many years at the election polls and at various community events.

"Vicki embodies the core of our district through unwavering volunteerism and commitment," Goss-Reaves said. "Her kindness and love for others are exactly why I created the Heart of 31 Award. I was honored to join others in our community to recognize all of her hard work."

Goss-Reaves encourages residents of House District 31 to nominate deserving individuals who make a positive difference in our community. Nominations for the Heart of 31 Award can be submitted at in.gov/h31 under the "Heart of 31 Award" tab. Nominees must reside in House District 31. To confirm eligibility, visit iga.in.gov and use the "Find Your Legislator" tool.

Award recipients will receive a special certificate and be recognized in Goss-Reaves' official media channels.
