Genda statement on honoring National Guard Sgt. Terry Frye

Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from State Rep. Mark Genda (R-Frankfort) in your coverage of Gov. Mike Braun's announcement to lower flags at all state facilities in Clinton County and at the Statehouse in Indianapolis to half-staff in honor of National Guard Sgt. Terry Frye of Rossville. 

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 19, 2025) –
 "This week, we mourn the loss of a great man of service who dedicated his life to family and duty, National Guard Sgt. Terry Frye.  As flags are lowered in Clinton County, we remember his legacy.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his young family during this heartbreaking time."

Background: On Nov. 14, National Guard Sgt. Terry Frye died as a result of a three-car collision on I-65 in Boone County. Frye was a Clinton County native, graduating from Frankfort High School before joining Company D, 2nd Battalion, 151st Infantry Regiment in Frankfort. During his time in the service, Frye earned the National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
