STATEHOUSE (March 16, 2017) — State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) today at the Statehouse recognized the motorsports industry with a House resolution for its contributions to the Hoosier state.
Frye said the motorsports industry hosts events including the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, resulting in economic opportunities and world-class entertainment.
“I want to recognize the motorsports industry for its many contributions to the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana,” Frye said. “Motorsports impact each Hoosier county, whether it be through parade and race participants, the Indianapolis 500 education program or hosting race fans. We are known as the Racing Capital of the World, and our goal is to continue to develop lasting relations with the racing community, which provides jobs and investment in our communities.”
According to Frye, the motorsport industry has stimulated economic growth with more than 1,600 motorsports companies based in Indiana, contributing more than 23,000 jobs to the state.

State Rep. Frye (R-Greensburg) represents House District 67, which includes Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties, as well as portions of Decatur, Jennings, Jefferson and Dearborn counties.
