STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Dave Frizzell (R-Indianapolis) was recently named to three summer study committees that will examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.

Frizzell was assigned to the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services, the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana and the Military Base Planning Council.

“While serving on these study committees throughout the next few months, we will be looking into topics that could lead to legislation next session,” Frizzell said. “Utilizing this time to meet and explore the issues in-depth will result in a lot of useful information that can be used when crafting new bills. As we meet, we will hear testimony, consider legislation and work out many details before we formally return to the Statehouse next year.”

Frizzell said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
