STATEHOUSE (Sept. 15, 2016) – State Rep. Dave Frizzell (R-Indianapolis) received an award for conservative excellence from the American Conservative Union Foundation in its 2016 ratings of the Indiana General Assembly.

Frizzell received one of the highest scores for voting most consistently with the ideals articulated in the U.S. Constitution: limited and transparent government, individual rights and personal responsibility. The foundation researches and selects a range of bills that determine a member’s adherence to conservative principles, and issues a yearly scorecard for all 50 state legislative bodies.

“By supporting conservative solutions that improve lives, we continue to lead Indiana forward,” Frizzell said. “Because we work to protect the values many Hoosiers hold so dearly, our state has transformed into a model for the rest of the nation.”

According to the foundation, 39 state representatives and 21 state senators in Indiana scored between 90 and 100 percent. This marks the fifth year the group rated the General Assembly.
