STATEHOUSE (July 8, 2021) – State Rep. Karen Engleman (R-Georgetown) recently received appointments to serve on the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations and the Code Revision Commission.

"Investing additional time to examine both our strengths and areas for improvement is part of good government," Engleman said. "These commissions help us address issues and improve the delivery of government services to Hoosiers."

Engleman said the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations works to create effective communication between federal, state and local units of government. She said the Code Revision Commission during the interim will help identify laws in need of technical corrections. The commission will then make recommendations ahead of the legislative session kicking off in January.

Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify at commission hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse or Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis. Meetings are also livestreamed and archived online at iga.in.gov, where calendars and agendas are posted.
