Engleman goes on district listening tour, meets with constituents and employers

HOUSE DISTRICT 70 (Oct. 22, 2019) – State Rep. Karen Engleman (R-Georgetown) hosted a listening tour on Wednesday, Oct. 9, in House District 70 to meet and hear from constituents, employers and local leaders.

Engleman’s tour included visits to several businesses and attractions in Corydon. With stops at the Harrison County Courthouse, Corydon Capitol State Historic Site and Harrison County Discovery Center. Engleman met with employees at local media outlets, including WOCC Radio and The Corydon Democrat. She also visited the Kent Java Bar, Butt Drugs, 1816 Modern Kitchen and Drinks, The Artisan Gallery and Zimmerman Art Glass.

“Meeting with constituents about their stories, successes and concerns helps me better represent our corner of southern Indiana at the Statehouse,” Engleman said. “Whether you work in tourism, as a glassmaker or at any of our other local businesses – big or small – your input helps better inform me when making decisions going forward. This tour helps connect us, and others are encouraged to contact me if they need assistance or want to discuss ideas for a new law before the upcoming 2020 legislative session.”
