STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Dale DeVon (R-Granger) was recently selected to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Education and the Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services Commission.
He said these summer study committees will examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.
“This year, policymakers enacted positive reforms to education, from expanding our pre-K program to implementing a new, student-based testing system,” DeVon said. “Over the next few months, the goal of the study committee on education is to research possible legislation that will continue putting Hoosier students first and providing them the best possible educational experience.”
DeVon said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
State Rep. Dale DeVon (R-Granger) represents House District 5,
which includes parts of St. Joseph county.
