STATEHOUSE (Dec. 10, 2018) — State Rep. Dale DeVon (R-Granger) was recently reappointed vice chair of the House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications Committee.

“Energy and telecommunications is an ever-evolving field that requires innovative approaches to solve problems,” DeVon said. “My experience as a contractor and small-business owner has prepared me to guide and debate legislation in these committees. I will work on a wide range of issues that deal with Indiana’s energy policy and continue to make our state a great place to live for Hoosier families.”

DeVon was also reappointed to serve on the House Education Committee and the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee, and will serve as Assistant Majority Whip on behalf of the House Republican Caucus.

Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 3, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2019 legislative session.
