STATEHOUSE (April 12, 2018) — Local businesses on Wednesday at the Statehouse received the Governor’s Half Century Business Award for their contributions to the community, according to State Rep. Dale DeVon (R-Granger).

DeVon said Cressy Commercial Real Estate, in operation since 1948, and the Valley Screen Process Company, in operation since 1967, were both recognized for their longevity and sustained investment in the community.

“These St. Joseph County businesses play an integral role in our state’s economy,” DeVon said. “Cressy Commercial Real Estate and Valley Screen Process Company have given back to our community for an outstanding number of years and employed local residents. Their longevity deserves recognition.”

The Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards honor Hoosier businesses that have remained in operation for a minimum of 100 or 50 consecutive years and have demonstrated a commitment to community service. Visit www.iedc.in.gov to learn more.
