STATEHOUSE (June 20, 2018) — State Rep. Steve Davisson (R-Salem) was recently selected to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services, which examines assigned topics, gathers testimonies and recommends potential legislation.

“As a member of this summer study committee, I will be able to draw on my experience as a pharmacist in our discussions about medical marijuana and opioid treatment programs,” Davisson said. “The committee will be able to hear from public and expert testimony, and work to develop policy recommendations for next session.”

Davisson said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.

In addition, Davisson will serve as a member of the Military Base Planning Council.
