Davis: Merry Christmas, Johnson County! Stay engaged, connected and involved this season

Posted by: Matt Stachler  | Monday, December 22, 2025

With the holiday season upon us, once again Johnson County is alive with sparkling lights, festive gatherings and the warmth of neighbors coming together. Whether you're baking family recipes passed down through generations or discovering new traditions, Christmas continues to be a time that highlights the very best of our communities.

Johnson County offers so many ways to celebrate this season. The annual Dec-A-Trees display at the Johnson County Museum of History in Franklin is open through Dec. 31, showcasing creative, community-decorated trees for all ages to enjoy. Many of our towns are also hosting tree lightings, concerts, parades and holiday markets. Once again the Greenwood Amphitheater's lighted trail is free and open to the public through Dec. 31. These events are wonderful reminders of how our local traditions bring us closer each year.

As we enjoy the Christmas season, we're also beginning our work for the 2026 legislative session. I'm honored to continue to serve the people of House District 58 at the Statehouse. I remain committed to ensuring your voices guide decisions made in the General Assembly.

One of the best ways for you to share your thoughts is through my annual constituent survey. Beginning this month, residents of House District 58 can visit in.gov/h58 and click on the "Take My Survey" button. Constituents will also receive mailer postcards with a QR code to the survey. If you live elsewhere in Johnson County, you can complete your state representative's survey at indianahouserepublicans.com.

In addition, if you'd like to follow along during the legislative session, you can watch session and committee hearings, review agendas and track legislation at iga.in.gov. If you'd like to share comments or concerns on legislation, or if you need assistance with a state agency, don't hesitate to contact my office at in.gov/h58 or 317-232-9757.

Thank you for the privilege of serving you. I look forward to working hard on your behalf in the year ahead. I wish you and your family a joyful Christmas season and blessed new year filled with peace, prosperity and possibility.
