STATEHOUSE (May 29, 2025) – State Rep. Cory Criswell (R-Middletown) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session.

The page program offers a unique hands-on opportunity for Hoosier students to gain a better understanding of the ins and outs of the legislative process while interacting with state leaders.

"The page program offers an excellent opportunity to learn firsthand what state government does," Criswell said. "From networking with legislators to experiencing a professional environment, there is something for all students interested in government to take away."

These area students served as pages during the 2025 legislative session:

  • Dane Purvis, from New Castle, who attends New Castle Middle School
  • Ellie Hall, from New Castle, who attends New Castle Middle School
  • Nora Hamilton, from New Castle, who attends Tri Junior Senior High School
  • Xavier Wilkinson, from Greensboro, who attends Knightstown High School

During their day as pages, they interacted with and assisted lawmakers and staff, toured the Statehouse and joined Criswell on the House floor to watch the legislative process in action.

Students ages 13 to 18 should consider serving as pages during the 2026 legislative session. Contact Criswell's Statehouse office at in.gov/54 or 317-232-9850 for more information.
