As 2025 begins, so does Indiana's legislative session. Through the end of April, state representatives and senators will meet at the Statehouse to examine important issues impacting Hoosiers and pass the state's next two-year budget.
While in session, I encourage you to stay up-to-date on what is happening at the Statehouse and share any feedback you have on legislative proposals.
Information on legislation I am authoring, co-authoring or sponsoring can be found at in.gov/h54 and clicking the "My Legislation" button. You can also visit the Indiana General Assembly's newly redesigned and improved website, iga.in.gov, for information on bills, meeting times and livestreams of committee hearings and session. It's a great tool for Hoosiers looking to stay in the loop during session.
To receive regular updates from me, constituents can sign up for my e-mail newsletters by visiting in.gov/h54 and provide an email in the box labeled "Subscribe to eNews."
During this legislative session, I will serve on several committees including the House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, the House Public Policy Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee. I was also appointed to serve as Assistant Majority Whip for the House Republican Caucus. These committees are a key part of the legislative process, providing a platform for constituents to testify on issues important to them and for lawmakers to vet legislation.
This is an exciting time of year and I am looking forward to working hard on your behalf. I hope to hear from constituents throughout House District 54 so that I can best serve our communities. To contact my office, call 317-232-9850.
