STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) was recently named to two summer study committees, which examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.

Carbaugh was selected as the vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance and as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.

“With my background as a financial adviser, I will be able to draw on my experiences to address financial and pension-related matters impacting Hoosiers,” Carbaugh said. “I will also use my experience chairing the House Insurance Committee as I help lead my colleagues in productive discussions during these meetings.”

Carbaugh said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
