Carbaugh to chair Insurance summer study committeeState Rep. Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) will be serving as chair of the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance.
In preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January, interim study committee members meet to examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and identify potential legislation.
“After serving as chair of the Insurance Committee this past year, I am eager to draw upon my experience and begin working with experts from in the insurance industry, the public and my colleagues to start looking for ways financial institutions in our state can better assist Hoosiers,” Carbaugh said.
Carbaugh said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
Carbaugh will also serve on the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.
State Rep. Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) serves as Chairman of the Insurance Committee. He also serves on the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee and the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee. Carbaugh represents a portion of Allen County.
