STATEHOUSE (Jan. 11, 2018) – State Rep. Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) honored singer-songwriter Addison Agen today with a concurrent resolution congratulating the 16-year-old on her runner-up finish during NBC’s 13th season of “The Voice.”

Agen, who began singing at age four and songwriting at 11, visited the Statehouse to receive the honor and sang the National Anthem.

“I’ve known Addison and her family since she was born,” Carbaugh said. “I want to offer her my sincerest congratulations on her accomplishment. Throughout the competition, Addison continuously represented the people of Fort Wayne with class.”

The Concordia Lutheran High School student recorded her first album, “New Places,” in 2016. Agen consistently placed in the Top 10 on iTunes during the show’s live episodes.

Since returning, Agen sang the National Anthem at a Fort Wayne Komets game, and sold out two shows on Jan. 21, at Fort Wayne’s Embassy Theatre.
