STATEHOUSE (Sept. 28, 2016) — State Rep. Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) and fellow Republican members of the Indiana House of Representatives are seeking interns for the upcoming 2017 legislative session, which runs from January through April.
“Working closely with legislators and staff provides opportunities for interns to gain valuable work experience while developing their skills,” Carbaugh said. “This unique program can open the door for students to begin a successful career.”
College sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, law students and recent graduates are eligible to apply. Benefits include a bi-weekly compensation of $700 and opportunities to earn academic credits and a scholarship.
Carbaugh said these are full-time positions, Monday through Friday, with a typical work day starting at 8:30 a.m.
Internships are available in various departments, including legislative, communications, technology, fiscal policy and policy.

State Rep. Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) serves as Chairman of the Insurance Committee. He also serves on the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee and the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee. Carbaugh represents House District 81, which includes portions of Allen County.
