STATEHOUSE (Oct. 19, 2016) — The Aviation Association of Indiana recently named State Rep. Mike Braun (R-Jasper) their State Representative of the Year for his work to support Indiana’s airports.
Braun was presented the award on Oct. 18 at the Dubois County Airport in Huntingburg.
“Airports are a critical part of Indiana’s transportation infrastructure,” Braun said. “They allow Hoosier businesses to compete in a global economy, while also supporting jobs and economic growth in communities throughout our state. As a lawmaker, I will continue to support policies helping to create an environment where airports and aviation companies can grow and innovate.”
During the 2016 session, Braun authored a new law allowing airport board members to meet electronically rather than in person. Braun said the law makes it easier for an aviation board to devote more time and effort toward improving airport functions.
State Rep. Mike Braun (R-Jasper) represents portions of Daviess, Dubois, Pike and Martin counties.
