STATEHOUSE (Dec. 14, 2016) — State Rep. Mike Braun (R-Jasper) went back to the classroom today as part of the “Educator for a Day” program at Ireland Elementary School in Dubois County.

Braun spent the day alongside fourth-grade teacher Nikki Roberts, helping to facilitate discussions, speaking to her 26-student class and observing daily activities. He also brought a pair of tennis shoes to participate in their physical education lesson.

“I want to thank Ms. Roberts for inviting me to spend time in her classroom and work with the students,” Braun said. “The Educator for a Day program provides a great opportunity for lawmakers to see firsthand the hard work Hoosier teachers put in to prepare our children for future success. Students in southwest Indiana continue to be well-served by the dedicated faculty and staff in our local schools.”
