State Rep. Randy Borror (R-Fort Wayne) offered the following response to news of ITT Corporation's U.S. Army contract on June 10, 2009: "ITT is a stronghold of our Ft. Wayne economy, and being awarded this multi-million-dollar contract will allow the corporation to thrive in these difficult times for Northern Indiana businesses. "Even more, ITT employs skilled workers who provide needed support to our military service people. After announcing layoffs in March, this is great news for ITT's employees and their families and should provide them some peace of mind for the near future." -30-
