Borders honors retiring WISH-TV reporter Jim Shella at the Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (March 29, 2017) — State Rep. Bruce Borders (R-Jasonville) recently honored WISH-TV’s former political reporter Jim Shella on his retirement.

For 34 years, Shella covered Indiana politics for WISH-TV. He also served as the host and producer of WFYI-TV’s Indiana Week in Review for 25 years.

“Jim Shella truly is a gentleman,” Borders said. “He has served the people of Indiana very well by keeping them informed, and I have enjoyed his kindness and friendship; what a pleasure it’s been.”

Borders said Shella covered six Indiana governors and 14 national conventions, and interviewed hundreds of politicians during his career.


State Rep. Bruce Borders (R-Jasonville) represents House District 45, which includes

all of Sullivan County and portions of Vigo, Greene, Knox and Daviess counties.
