Beumer laces up sneakers to fight cancer
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 19, 2016) – State Rep. Greg Beumer (R-Modoc) paired his sneakers with his suit today at the Statehouse to help raise cancer awareness.
“Suits and Sneakers Day unites lawmakers and staffers in the fight against cancer,” Beumer said. “We are all in support of finding a cure for this disease, which affects over 35,000 Hoosiers every year. Lawmakers want the best for the citizens of Indiana, and we will continue to work to find a cure for this horrible disease.”
The Suits and Sneakers challenge is an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to help raise cancer awareness and support those affected by the disease.
