STATEHOUSE (Feb. 9, 2024) – "The U.S. southern border continues to be overrun by illegal immigrants and criminals bringing deadly drugs like fentanyl into our country. This is a serious issue that affects us all, and I'm pleased the governor is joining Texas and other states' efforts to address this national security issue. The Indiana National Guard will courageously represent us, and I wish them godspeed in this essential mission," said State Rep. Stephen Bartels (R-Eckerty).
"I fully support Governor Holcomb's decision to send members of the Indiana National Guard to help stop the skyrocketing number of illegal immigrants and illegal substances flooding into our country.
