STATEHOUSE (July 2, 2019) — State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) was selected to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Summer study committees examine the state’s top issues and recommend potential legislation.
“The committee will be studying farmland preservation, management options for state forest land and long-term solutions to address erosion on Indiana’s Lake Michigan beaches,” Baird said. “This is my first interim study committee assignment, and I believe my agricultural background will give me some insight on these topics.”
Baird said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
