STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Mike Aylesworth (R-Hebron) was recently selected to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Environmental Affairs.

The committee will examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation for the 2018 legislative session.

“During the upcoming months, this study committee will have the chance to address topics and hear testimony about possible legislation for next year,” Aylesworth said. “We will be looking into issues like protecting the public water supply and providing quality water utility services throughout the state. Studying these matters in the summer months allows us to gather information ahead of time and prepare for the next legislative session.”

Aylesworth said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
