STATEHOUSE (July 10, 2018) — State Rep. Michael Aylesworth (R-Hebron) reminds motorists of two new laws that recently went into effect to keep Indiana roadways safe.
“Indiana is proud to be known as the Crossroads of America,” Aylesworth said. “With so many vehicles traveling on our roads every day, motorists should take every step to keep themselves and others safe on the roads. Hoosiers can request a free vehicle-emissions test at their local fire department, and should make sure the lights on their vehicles are the correct colors.”
Aylesworth said with many new laws effective July 1, it is important to stay up to date with those impacting local Hoosiers, including new safety measures for motorists:
Aylesworth said roads are especially busy now during construction season. He asked that drivers have patience and pay attention when driving through work zones.
“With record levels of construction happening around the state, it’s important for motorists to plan ahead, stay vigilant and have patience when driving through construction zones,” Aylesworth said.
