STATEHOUSE (April 13, 2016) – State Rep. Michael Aylesworth (R-Hebron) presented a resolution to Hebron Middle School teacher Dan Pastrick, congratulating him on winning the 2015-2016 “LifeChanger of the Year” award from the National Life Group.

Pastrick, who has taught science at Hebron Middle School for nearly 20 years, was nominated for the award by the school’s principal, Jeff Brooks, in recognition of his passion for the job and his innovative approaches to teaching. There were 620 teachers nominated from around the country and 16 ultimately received the award.

“Educators like Dan are the reason our area continues to develop and grow some of the best and brightest students in the state,” Aylesworth said. “By taking an innovative approach to teaching, he has set a wonderful example, and I am proud that he represents Hebron schools so well.”

Pastrick leads the National Junior Honor Society at Hebron Middle School and is an active organizer for service projects. He regularly helps with the annual haunted house, which raises money to fund the purchase of presents for those who might otherwise have to forgo them during the holidays.
